Praying God's Word Over Your Kids: Part 2Àpẹrẹ
To place trust or confidence in someone is a natural desire for most humans. Some offer people trust immediately, without the person earning it. Others take their time granting trust to someone else. Regardless of our method of trusting a human, we must understand that as Jesus Followers, our ultimate trust must be in our Heavenly Father and not a human being. For we are all imperfect vessels who will break the trust of others, in big or small ways, at some point in our lives.
What would it look like if our children had absolute, without a doubt, 100% trust in their Heavenly Father above all others? Can you imagine that foundation? The certainty that the God of the universe is for them and never against them? That He has good plans for them even when it doesn’t feel like it? This type of foundation requires intense pursuit of our Savior even if and especially when we don’t understand His ways.
Join me in praying that our children will place all of their trust in God because I believe that when they do, it will be much easier to trust humans.
●Some trust in chariots and some in horses but ____________ trusts in the name of the Lord her God. (Psalm 20:7)
●____________ trusts in the Lord and is like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. (Psalm 125:1)
●____________ will trust in the Lord with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding; in all her ways ____________ will submit to God, and He will make her path straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
●God, you will keep ____________ in perfect peace, whose mind is steadfast, because she trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

Praying for our children is instinctual as parents. We are constantly praying for their health, well being and happiness. All of those are great, but let's go deeper in our prayers for them. As Jesus followers, the Word of God is our foundation for truth and because of that, it makes sense that we should use it as our guide. Join Cindy as she shares prayers with you that she has prayed over her three sons and walk in faith that you will see it all come to pass in your own children's lives.
