Ngoko ke ndithi, UThixo ubagibile na abantu bakhe? Nakanye! Kuba nam lo ndingumSirayeli wasembewini ka-Abraham, wesizwe sikaBhenjamin. UThixo akabagibanga bona abantu bakhe, abebazi ngenxa engaphambili. Okanye aniyazi na indawo ethetha ngoEliya esibhalweni, ukumangalela kwakhe amaSirayeli kuThixo, esithi, Nkosi, abaprofeti bakho ábabulele, nezibingelelo zakho ázichithile; mna ndisele ndedwa; afuna ke ubomi bam? Sisuka esikaThixo isihlabo sithini na kuye? Sithi, Ndizishiyele amadoda angamawaka asixhenxe, angagobanga dolo kuBhahali• wona. Ngokunjalo ke ngoko, nakweli xesha lakalokunje, kukho amasalela ngokonyulo lobabalo. Ukuba ke kungobabalo, akusengamisebenzi; okanye ubabalo alungebi saba lubabalo. Kuthiweni na ngoko? Ekubeni okunene mna ndingumpostile• weentlanga, ndiyaluzukisa ulungiselelo lwam; ukuba ndingáde ndibakhweletise abenyama yam, ndisindise inxenye yabo. Kuba xa ukulahlwa kwabo kuluxolelaniso lwehlabathi, koba yintoni na ukwamkelwa kwabo? Akububomi obuphuma kwabafileyo, yini na? Ukuba ke intlahlela ingcwele, ikwanjalo nentlama; ukuba ke ingcambu ingcwele, akwanjalo namasebe. Ke ukuba inxenye yamasebe yaxhuzulwa, wathi ke wena, úngumnquma wasendle nje, wamiliselwa phakathi kwawo, waba lidlelane nengcambu nokutyeba komnquma: musa ukuwaqhayisela amasebe; ke ukuba ùyawaqhayisela, yazi ukuba asinguwe oyithweleyo ingcambu; yingcambu ethwele wena. Ùya kuthi ngoko, Áxhuzulwa amasebe, ukuze mna ndimiliselwe. Utyaphile; áxhuzulwa ngokungakholwa, ke wena umi ngokholo; musa ukukratsha, yoyika. Kuba, xa uThixo angawaconganga awasemvelweni amasebe, lumka hleze angakucongi nawe lo.

Ngaba uThixo ubalahlile na abantu bakhe amaSirayeli? Nakanye! Nam ngokwam ndingumSirayeli, ndiyinzala ka-Abraham, ndingowendlu kaBhenjamin. UThixo akabalahlanga abantu bakhe awabanyula mhlamnene. Kaloku niyayazi *eziBhalweni indawo apho uEliya awamangalela khona kuThixo amaSirayeli, esithi: “Nkosi, amaSirayeli ababulele *abashumayeli bakho, namaqonga akho amadini awadilizile. Ndim ndodwa oseleyo, kwaye nam afuna ukundibulala.” Limphendula njani ke ilizwi likaThixo? Lithi: “Ndizishiyele amadoda angamawaka asixhenxe angamnqulanga *uBhali.” Kanti nangoku ke kukwanjalo. Lisekho iqaqobana elichongwe nguThixo ngokwesisa sakhe. Lona lachongwa nguThixo ngokwesisa sakhe, elibabala, engalinyuli ngenxa yezenzo zalo. Kaloku ukuba uThixo wayenyula abantu ngokwezenzo zabo, isisa sakhe asingebi saba sisisa. Kúthiweni ke ngoko? Makuthiwe amaSirayeli akayifumananga into awayeyizondelele. Kodwa iqaqobana elichongwe nguThixo layifumana, aza ke wona amanye aqaqadekiswa, njengoko iziBhalo zitshoyo ukuthi: “UThixo ubenze badengeka, baza àbabona ngamehlo, àbeva ngeendlebe; ibe ke unangoku basenjalo.” UDavide naye uthi: “Mababanjwe, bavingcelwe kumatheko abo; mabakhubeke, beve impindezelo. Mabamfanyekiswe, bangaboni, babandezeleke maxa onke.” Ngaba isiwo samaSirayeli sawazisela intshabalalo? Nakanye! Kwathi ngesi siwo sawo usindiso lwazifikela iintlanga, khon' ukuze ziwavusele ikhwele. Esi siphoso samaSirayeli saluphathela intaphane yeentsikelelo uluntu; ngoko ke ukoyisakala kwawo kwaba yinzuzo enkulu ezintlangeni. Zobeka phi na ke ukusikeleleka iintlanga akuba amaSirayeli ezinikele ngokupheleleyo kuThixo! Ngoku mandithethe nani, zintlanga. Okunene ekubeni mna ndingulowo *uthunywe kuzo iintlanga, ndizimisele ukuwenza ubalasele umsebenzi wam, ndide ndivusele amawethu ikhwele, ndiyisindise inxalenye yawo. Kaloku xa ukulahlwa kwawo kuxolelanise ihlabathi noThixo, koba njani ukwamkelwa kwawo? Kofana novuko lwabafileyo! Ukuba isonka sokuqala sentlama singcwalisiwe ngokwenziwa umnikelo, kwangokunjalo zingcwele zonke ezinye ezenziwe ngaloo ntlama. Ukuba iingcambu zomthi zingcwele, kwangokunjalo namasebe angcwele. Inxalenye yamasebe omnquma yaqhuzulwa kwamiliselwa amasebe omnquma wasendle esiqwini sawo. Nina ke, zintlanga, ningaloo masebe omnquma wasendle. Nanikwa inxaxheba kwincindi yeengcambu eziphilileyo zomnquma. Musa ke ukuziphakamisa kunamanye amasebe. Kakade ke wena ungaqhayisa ngantoni? Asinguwe kaloku othwele iingcambu, ziingcambu ezithwele wena! Kodwa wena uya kuthi: “Aqhuzulwa amasebe, ukuze kumiliselwe mna.” Unyanisile, aqhuzulwa ngenxa yokuba engakholwa, ke wena umi apho umiliselwe khona ngenxa yokuba ukholwa. Musa ke ukuba nekratshi, koko yoyika. Engawasindisanga nje kaloku uThixo amasebe omthi endalo, angákusindisa njani wena?

NDITI ngako: UTIXO wabalahla na abantu bake? Kwanga kungebe njalo! Ngokuba nam ndingum‐Sirayeli, kwinzalo ka‐Abrahame, kwisizwe sika‐Benjamine. UTIXO akabalahla abantu bake obebazi kwa pambili. Anikwazi na oko sikutsho isiba̔lo kuyo imbali ka‐Elija, — okokuba uyakalazela KUTIXO ngo‐Sirayeli, esiti: YEHOVA! abaprofite bako bababulele, nezibingelo zako bazici̔tile; sendisele mna ndedwa, nobomi bam bayabufuna? Kanjalo ukuba isiqalo sentlama singcwele, linjalo nesimba layo; nokuba ingcambo ingcwele, anjalo namasebe. Kodwa ukuba inxenye yamasebe yapulwa, nawe, ungumnquma wasendle nje, wamiliselwa pakati kwawo, waza wabelwa kwingcambo nakukutyeba kwomnquma kunye nawo, ungaqa̔yiseli amasebe. Kodwa ukuba uyawaqa̔yisela, asi nguwe oxasa ingcambo, yingcambo exasa wena. Woti ngako: Amasebe apulwa, ukuze mna ndimiliselwe. Kulungile ke: ngenxa yokungakolwa kwawo apulwa wona, nawe umi ngokukolwa kwako. Ungaqanqalazi, uti woyike: ngokuba lawo angamasebe ngemvelo ukuba UTIXO akayekanga wona, lumka hleze kungati angayeki nawe.
