When doing exegesis, we rely on Translatorsʼ Notes and other commentaries to help discern the original meaning of the text. The project uses NIV format markers. We include all the doubtful Bible verses in footnotes. We use NIV book introductions and limited footnotes where necessary. These explain cultural practices which our readers may not understand but were very meaningful to the original audience. We use the written and accepted orthography of Somali language.
