The Bible OverBrew - Bible in a Yearنمونہ
Week 1. Day 3. Genesis 10-14.
Gen 12:1-3 is a key turning point in the Bible. After a tragic story of human sin, culminating in the tower of Babel (Gen 11) God intervenes and makes promises to Abraham. These promises (referred to as the ‘gospel’ in Galatians) show how God will achieve his creation purposes and deal with the problems that sin brought into the world.
The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
“I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.” (Gen 12:1-3 NIV)
How do the promises to Abraham relate to
- God’s original creation plans?
- the curses given in Genesis 3?
NOTE: Days 1-5 of each week contain the scripture reading for that week. Day 6 has just the 'key chapters'. If you want a briefer version of this plan that still takes you through the whole Bible, you could just read the key chapters featured on day 6. Day 7 has the podcast video where we discuss the week's reading.
