God’s Plans Are Good

What are you straining your eyes to see? All the unknowns and what you’re waiting for to come to pass? The biggest hurdle to living out the plans God has for us may be us!

Maybe you’ve had your life planned out for a long time and have worked hard to get where you want to be, but something has hindered those plans from coming true. Or maybe life, in general, has taken you down some twists and turns and you’ve ended up in a place you never expected to be. Whatever the case, you’ve experienced upturned plans. These surprises have thrown you out of orbit and have you grabbing even more frantically at the things around you, trying to guess and analyze what’s going to happen next so you can feel some semblance of control. You’re constantly swiveling your head trying to piece together the events of your life so you can be prepared for what’s coming.

Here's the thing: we’re not supposed to see what’s down the road. God knows we can’t handle it. He wants you here with Him, today, in the middle of this moment, trusting Him for your daily bread.

Seek first His kingdom, and everything else will be added. God knows the plans He has for you, and they are good, full of hope and promise and ways He will show Himself beyond what you could have imagined.

God’s plans are good. They are always good. And He asks us to walk them out by faith.

By faith—that means not knowing or seeing what is coming. By faith—it means acting on something that seems radical and doesn’t make sense. By faith—it’s leaning our whole weight on God to carry us through and take us on a journey of knowing Him better and being transformed into the likeness of Jesus. We lean into an all-knowing and loving God and allow Him to lead the way.

Across the Bible, God speaks of His plans with certainty. What He ordains will be done, and because God is good, so are His ways.

You can trust God to take care of you. He has provided for you in the past, and He will continue to come through.

How can you look around and see the good where God has you today?
