ASSURANCE
Assurance is something that makes a situation or circumstance evident. It is a clear indication or sign that something will manifest. It is proof of what will happen. What you are believing God for can’t be measured by past issues, life challenges, or mistakes. Your faith shouldn't be measured by the blessing you received yesterday. It shouldn’t be measured by what will happen tomorrow. It rests on what God is going to do today. There will be distractions that will rock your faith. There will be people who will test your faith. You must have the assurance that your faith must be anchored in Christ. It needs to be unfiltered and unshakeable. It must be bold and strong.
In Hebrews 11:1, assurance is in the middle of "hope for" and "what you do not see." Assurance lets us know that what is being hoped for, although it cannot be seen, rests in the fact that God will provide a clear sign that what he said he will do, will manifest.
Most often when this happens, it is during a time when you can’t see or feel it. I’ve often found out that when it feels like God has forgotten, is when it has been a season where I have been broken and carrying unforgiveness with God and with man. When you rest in the truth that God is going to show up and do exactly what he says he will do, is when breakthrough comes. Here again, is where trust plays a part.
We have assurance in knowing that God will not and cannot turn his back on us.There have been many times where it felt like God just folded his arms and turned his back on me. I didn't see any way out. My faith couldn’t even see past the circumstance. When I took emotions and my past trauma out of the equation is where I saw God’s love, patience and peace unfold. What I keep learning is that God’s love never fails.
I want you to ask yourself, "Has God given you a promise?" If so, know that he will not fail you. You have to remove all of the worldly distractions and trauma, and rest assured that God is able and God will do. We won’t get everything we want in life from God, but you can rest assured that what he gives is his best.
Prayer:
Father God, I am believing that you are God and that you are providing the true belief that I am yours and you are mine. As we walk this life together I have full assurance that you will not fail me.
