NOW FAITH

Faith should be the anchor of our daily walk as a Believer. The scripture that has been quoted many times is Hebrews 11: 1 NIV, “Now faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

The first two words of that scripture, “NOW FAITH” express “at this very moment in time, I must have a belief that is not based on proof, but what is happening or about to happen is rooted in trust.” A known fact is that faith is not absent without trust. We cannot walk through life without trusting that God will do what he promises to do.

God has a reputation of consistency that cannot be denied. If we look at Old Testament examples they includes; Abraham, Gideon, and Esther. Each of these individuals walked closely with God, but at some point, when the promise God had in store for them was mentioned, even if fear crept in they forged forward. God lovingly stepped in and all he asked them to do is trust him. Since they all walked by faith, they eliminated fear and trusted God which allowed the promise to be fulfilled.

I know I have had moments where it has been hard to trust God. I am a walking example of how fear and self-doubt can hinder or delay blessings. The combination of those two, plus emotions made it look like all the doors of opportunity around me were closing. As God lovingly spoke in that still small voice “Perfect love casts out all fear” it allowed me to put fear in its rightful place, which was under my feet. You hear fear and faith can’t reside in the same space. That is true. You have to let faith supersede your fear and soar in life.

God is so in the details. When we think about the words "NOW FAITH." One cannot waiver in belief or trust. It must be anchored and solid in that truth. There is not one thing that God has in store for you that will not come to pass if you believe.

What is important is you make sure that it is God’s will and not your will. You can question, but you can’t look at people, your past issues or let fear block you. You must stand firm on God’s Word. To activate your NOW FAITH, you have to know that there is a belief that you unequivocally must trust God even when you can’t trace him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you that NOW FAITH is what I anchor myself in today. May I trust you when life is saying otherwise. I want to see my faith and your hand at work. May your love be made perfect in my weakness.
