Creating a Culture of Gospel Multiplication // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel

DAY 3 OF 7

Jesus “came to seek and to save the lost.” (Lk 19.10).

He brought the Good News to the people. Jesus himself said about himself: “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (Is 61.1-3).

Through Jesus, the gospel was brought into the world. He has a deep desire to seek and save all those you do not know him yet. His heart is like the shepherd looking for the lost sheep, the woman looking for her lost coin, and the father looking for his lost son (Luke 15). As a follower of Jesus Christ, you are following Jesus’ teaching and behaviour. It should, therefore, also be on your heart to look for those that are lost and tell them about the Good News. Every follower is called to do this. This should be a culture of Christian communities.

Do you have a desire to find the lost? Is your heart breaking for those that do not yet know Jesus? If not, pray to God that He may change your heart.

About this Plan

Creating a Culture of Gospel Multiplication // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel

Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. This plan is part of a 5-week journey on the topic of Gospel X - Multiplying the gospel.
