Creating a Culture of Gospel Multiplication // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel

DAY 2 OF 7

Right before Jesus ascended into heaven, he predicts that the believers “will be [his] witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1.8). He already had in mind that the gospel would spread across the world. It would start in Jerusalem, the place where you are. Then it continues to Judea, the neighbouring regions. After that it reaches Samaria, the enemy region and place where you do not want to go. Finally, it will reach the end of the earth, every region of the world. This is also how it happened after Jesus ascended to heaven. First, the disciples stayed in Jerusalem. Once persecution started, the believers were forced to flee to Judea and Samaria (Acts 8.1). From there it continued until it reached Rome, which was a global city at that time and it spread to the ends of the earth.

In other words, from the very beginning of the Christian faith, Jesus already had in mind that it would reproduce and multiply. The gospel is for everyone, and they can only be reached by believers sharing their faith.

In the figurative sense, what is your Jerusalem? What is your Judea? What is your Samaria? Where has God put you to be a witness?

About this Plan

Creating a Culture of Gospel Multiplication // Gospel X - Multiplying the Gospel

Jesus left the church the vision of a movement when he challenged us to reproduce from our own Jerusalem into “Judea, Samaria and the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). For us to see a movement, we need every Christ follower to adopt Jesus' personal mission to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10). Evangelism is core to the mission of Jesus and essential to accomplishing his vision. This plan is part of a 5-week journey on the topic of Gospel X - Multiplying the gospel.
