Man of God: What Does a Man of God Look Like?Намуна
Men of God Live with Integrity and Uncompromised Faith
Men of God hate sin, do not rationalize about it, and do not continue doing questionable things. They confess all conscious sin every day and break ties with it.
These men love justice, do not accept bribes, and do not get involved in any form of corruption. They do not tolerate injustice.
They don't serve God and money (Matt.6:24). They are free from the love of money and every form of greed — for greed is like the sin of idolatry (Colossians 3:5).
Such men speak the truth and do not walk crooked paths for the sake of popularity.
These are men who speak when the rights of the poor, orphans, widows, and those who have no power are violated.
They say "no" to rage and angry outbursts.
Men of God honor their parents and treat them with respect.
These men are not impressed with human honor and recognition and do not seek the world's approval or praise.
They often feel like Paul, who said he was "the least of all believers and greatest of all sinners" (Ephesians 3:8; 1 Timothy 1:15-16) because they see their brokenness and shortcomings.
For them, honoring people, titles, positions, scholarships, and popularity does not weigh against their decision to do God’s work. They do everything as if they were doing it for the Lord.
Men devoted to God do not chase money, position, possessions, cars, expensive clothes, and houses. They don't waste money on things that don't have eternal value and don't find their identity in these things.
Men of God allow God to discipline and refine them — albeit through the fire of hardship, persecution, disease, false accusations, criticism, financial shortages, opposition from family and friends, and even religious leaders. Such men in these situations do not become bitter. They protect their hearts, do not rebel, and resist all feelings of injustice. They do not defend themselves and are not intent on retaliation.
A man of God does not distinguish between rich or poor, white or black, ethnicity or language. They do not despise people made by God.
These are men who, if necessary, will stand alone in the world and not compromise - just as the apostles, prophets, and the men of God through the ages have sometimes had to stand alone.
They live by God's standard. God does not come down to people's level. He judges according to His standards. His Word remains true regardless of whether people believe it, or what people have said about it over the centuries. He doesn't change the truth and His standards.
About this Plan
We need men of God today. They must be men with God's character, sanctified, broken, humble, and serving their families, churches, and communities with integrity, purity, righteousness, and dignity. Such men will be like salt, bringing hope to the world and the people around them.
