Do Something—High School

DAY 11 OF 28

Sometimes when we hear people talk about how they see God, it can feel like, this person had everything going for them, so of course, it feels like God is close to them, or God loves them, or God will take care of them. The thing about this verse from the apostle Paul, is that as he is writing about how good and great God is; he isn’t doing it from a place of life being easy. The apostle Paul experienced being arrested and imprisoned for his faith, being persecuted, even being shipwrecked. Paul did not have an easy life. He experienced injustices around every corner, but it never led him to doubt God’s goodness or presence in the midst of all of it.

If Paul can face all the injustices he did and continue to say with confidence that God will take care of us no matter what we are facing, we can take him at his word. Today, remember that God didn’t give up on Paul, and He won’t give up on us. He is present with us in all things.

Do Something—High School

Have you ever seen something in the world around you and thought, “Someone should do something!” Whether it was a kid being bullied at school, children in other countries without enough to eat, or someone in your neighborhood being judged by the color of their skin, what you’re seeing is injustice. We’re going to discover how much Jesus cares about injustice and how we can do something in response.
