Do Something—High School

DAY 13 OF 28

Has anyone ever let you down before? Maybe it was a friend who talked about you behind your back. Or a parent who said they would be there for you, and then wasn’t. Counting on someone who disappoints you is never easy. It can make us feel like no one is trustworthy and like the world is a very unsafe place to be. That is one of the reasons this verse from Deuteronomy is as powerful as it is. Here, God is referred to as a Rock—dependable, sturdy, trustworthy. And later in the verse, the writer says He is faithful. When the world can feel unjust and unfair and undependable, God goes to great lengths to prove He is not that way. Today, if someone or something lets you down, repeat to yourself, “God is a rock. He is faithful.”

About this Plan

Do Something—High School

Have you ever seen something in the world around you and thought, “Someone should do something!” Whether it was a kid being bullied at school, children in other countries without enough to eat, or someone in your neighborhood being judged by the color of their skin, what you’re seeing is injustice. We’re going to discover how much Jesus cares about injustice and how we can do something in response.
