Love God Greatly: Empowered

DAY 33 OF 40

The Lord watched over Paul. In his imprisonment, God still protected him. When the people threatened to harm him, God allowed the commanding officer to protect Paul and bring him away from danger. Even though Paul was in a horrible situation, God had His hand on Paul’s every move. ⁣

God offered comfort to Paul in his darkest moments. While He does not often tell us exactly what is to come, God comforted Paul by telling him he would continue to testify and proclaim the name of Christ in Rome. ⁣

God’s comfort comes to us in ways we do not expect. He knows our hearts, our fears, our circumstances, and how we respond to danger. He offers each of us comfort through the Holy Spirit when we need it most. His Word is always a great comfort, reminding us of truth and offering peace when we are afraid. In the same way that He comforted Paul in his fear, the Lord offers you comfort and peace today.⁣

Lord God, I praise You for Your loving kindness. You long to give me comfort and peace. Help me believe You and accept the comfort You bring. Guide me as I seek Your Word for peace and help. Allow me to rest in Your grace today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Empowered

Empowered: Yesterday and Today is a deep study of the book of Acts. As we study the early church and the spread of the gospel we hope to find encouragement and strength to continue spreading the message of the gospel in our spheres of influence. God empowered the early church to share the gospel every single day, and He does the same for us, even now.
