Love God Greatly: EmpoweredНамуна
Paul walked through the darkest valley. He stood before Caesar, before the highest court in his time, though he had committed no offense. Paul’s response was courageous; he was not afraid of death, but he demanded a fair trial.
King David wrote these famous words in Psalm 23 hundreds of years before Paul lived. As someone who knew the Old Testament well (Php 3:5-6), Paul no doubt knew these words from David’s psalm. Paul was able to believe his God, confident that no matter the outcome, God would protect him. He was not afraid of death because he knew his eternity with Christ was secure.
We too can have this same confidence when we face trials and difficulties. God has never abandoned His people. He has faithfully protected the lives of His children for generations, and He will not stop now. We do not need to fear danger, for God is with us. His goodness and faithfulness will pursue us, no matter what we face.
Father God, Your goodness and faithfulness pursue me all my days. Help me remember You are with me when I walk through the darkest valley. Let me not fear danger, for You are with me. I trust You with my circumstances today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan
Empowered: Yesterday and Today is a deep study of the book of Acts. As we study the early church and the spread of the gospel we hope to find encouragement and strength to continue spreading the message of the gospel in our spheres of influence. God empowered the early church to share the gospel every single day, and He does the same for us, even now.
