Book of Numbers

DAY 8 OF 12

NEVER TOO LATE

When we believe that our colleagues or friends are more blessed than we are or they are promoted but we are not, what will be our response? Will we be happy for them? Or are we jealous and envious because of their blessings? We may feel that we have performed better than that person, but why is he the one who was promoted? Friends, if we feel this way, we are no different than unbelievers.

The Book of Proverbs says that envy is rottenness to the bones. Could this mean that envy and rottenness is a door to sickness that devours us?

King Balak is an example of someone who was jealous. His hatred of the Israelites was so great that he tried to engage the prophet Balaam to curse Israel. Instead, God turned the curse from Balaam’s mouth into blessings. Many times when hatred is controlling someone, that person tends to curse.

Man can lie, but God is always faithful to His Words and promises.  Therefore, what God had set for the Israelites could not be changed or cancelled by anyone.

Let us wait upon God for the time of favor to come to us. God is never too late. He will fulfill His Word to the ones who wait upon Him.

Man can lie, but God is faithful to His promises.
