SOWING AND REAPING
We can only harvest if something was sown beforehand. This means that if we never sow, we will never harvest. Sacrifice is involved in order to reap a harvest. A farmer works early in the morning, cultivating the paddy field, then sowing the seed into the soil and works and waits for the seed to grow until the time for harvest.
God commanded the Israelites to bring an offering when they came to worship. The offering was to be the best, without blemish, because only such a sacrifice was to be given for a holy God. Jesus Christ presented Himself as the best sacrifice, without blemish, for the sake of our sin redemption. He gave Himself as the offering to bear all our curses in order for us to be set free from punishment and be united with God.
Without that offering, the door of salvation would not have been opened for us. How glorious the sacrifice of Jesus is for us! Through Him, God is willing to open the gate of salvation and blessings for His people.
If God has given His most valuable Son to prove His love for us, what can we do to show Him our love? We can trust Him wholeheartedly and offer our life, our body, mind, and soul for His glory so that our worship is worthy of God. Amen.
As we do our part faithfully, God will do His part perfectly.
