GOD’S PROVIDENCE
God answered two great problems during the Israelites journey in the desert: the crisis Moses faced because of the hard hearts of the Israelites, and their complaints from craving to eat meat. The root of each crisis was from their lack of faith in God’s providence. God didn’t close His ear to their cry. God promised that He would provide them with meat for a whole month. Moses wondered, at the beginning, how God would be able to provide meat for so many people. Nevertheless, God reminded Moses of His Might and that Moses would see God fulfilling His word. With His mighty way, God brought quail from the sea and left them fluttering nearby the Israelite camp.
God’s goodness overflows to save us, to provide for us, which sometimes causes us to look down on God as a servant who has to provide everything for us. We need to understand that we should place our will and needs before the mighty hand of God. We need to differentiate between our will and our needs and not expect God to do our will.
Trust in God’s providence. It will change you to be more dependent on God. Do not be an ungrateful Christian who is not thankful for what God has given. Let joy and gratefulness arise in your heart as you are thankful for what you have. When we learn to enjoy what we have in life, we are free from complaints and joy will be overflow in our lives.
Life is a precious gift from God. Let’s enjoy it with a thankful heart. Keep it up and let’s rely on God.
