LISTENING TO GOD’S VOICE
Before the Israelites crossed the Jordan River, Moses told them they should not forget God and the rules of God when they had reached the Promised Land. Why should Moses have to remind them? Because being in a comfort zone, achieving their goal and feeling relaxed, they could forget everything. Man is usually like that. When he has achieved his goals he can forget everything, and his attitude will be changed.
God knew Israel needed laws and guidelines. How law and justice were upheld was very important. A country will become strong if law and justice are upheld properly and correctly.
God also warned Israel against bribery and corruption. Cheating and deceiving is a door for the devil to undermine God's order. In God’s eyes there are no "white lies" or lying for good, because it is still a lie. Husbands and wives, parents: do not lie to each other because it will be bad for you and your children.
Today many people use their title or authority in leadership wrongly. They cheat for the sake of their own interests. Let us be careful and just in our lives.
The people of Israel were asked to listen to the voice of the prophet. At that time, the voice of the prophet from God was the voice of God, Himself. Today, let us listen to God's voice through the Bible and His Spirit. Be led by Him.
Listen to the messages of the Lord Jesus and experience what He has promised.
