The Biblical Benefit Of Hindsight

DAY 13 OF 14

Surely you don’t mean me, Jesus? I’m an introvert, so that can’t possibly apply to me! Really? Jesus knows that some of us are introverts, but he also knows two other things: 1. that as Christians we will want to share the good news of Him with those who don’t yet know, and 2. that discipleship can take different forms. Perhaps the most obvious is simply in the way we live our lives. From that old youth group song: ‘They’ll know we are Christians by our love.’

Have you ever thought of yourself as an evangelist simply by the way you live out your life to others?

Pray: Dear Lord, please help me find the courage and the words to share the good news of Jesus at every opportunity. And help me, through the way I live and love my neighbour, to be a witness to my faith. Amen.

The Biblical Benefit Of Hindsight

The irritating benefit of hindsight is that it is often easier to see why we should have listened to biblical wisdom when we suffer through trials and difficulties. The one thing I keep learning is that the wisdom was there all along; I just needed to look for it. It is one thing to have faith in your head. It is quite another to live out that faith in your heart, day by day.
