Living Stones I will build my church. Jesus made it clear from the beginning that He is the foundation, the architect and the builder of His church. My church affirms His ownership and authority. He will protect it and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. He will lead it as He is the head and He will grow it as it’s His intention. Just as each stone in a building serves its purpose, so are we, as living stones, He called us by a distinct purpose in this spiritual house. It is Christ who put us and binds us together to form this spiritual building. In this building process, we’re quarried and shaped so it fits into His building plans. We must continually ask ourselves: “Is Christ the head of our ministry, does He have first place in your life?” Never forget it, it’s His church. Prayer: Jesus, You’re the head of the church. Thank you for the privilege of making us members of your household. Strengthen us in faith and fill us with Your power so that we may become living witnesses in Your name. Amen.
