Celebrate Diversity

God designed everyone of us to be unique and different. God celebrates diversity. It is this diversity that makes the church unique. Everyone of us plays an important role in our church. We complement each other not because of our sameness; we learn from one another not because of our homogeneousness; we grow not because of our similarities. God has given us different gifts so we can build the church.  Despite of our colour, culture, social background, we are all reconciled to God through Christ. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation and committed to us the message of reconciliation. Diversity actually demonstrates the wisdom and the power of God. We are dependent on one another to have a fully functioning ministry, and we need one another in order to grow in maturity in Christ. Today, start praising God for the church and for the uniqueness of the people he has put around you. That’s the beauty of church.



Prayer: Father, I thank You for the diversity demonstrated in this church. You have put us together as a body of many parts. You have placed me where I am so I can build up Your church. We ask that You continue to empower us, and the diversity of talents, gifts and resources You have given us can be a blessing to the city. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
