Renew Your Strength After a BreakupChikamu
DON'T GIVE IN
Dealing with heartbreak brings up so many thoughts and emotions. It’s easy to feel like the world is closing in around you. It’s a perplexing time. Sometimes, we don’t know where things went wrong. We’re trying to reevaluate ourselves and our lives, while also trying to see how to move forward. It also brings up feelings of punishment and persecution for something we did in our past. And let’s face it, heartbreak can completely knock us off our feet.
I’m so glad that Paul speaks with such boldness like He does in today’s Scripture. Paul lets us know that we can have certain thoughts and feelings about what’s going on, but we don’t have to completely give ourselves over to our situations or our emotions. This season may make you feel like the world is pressing in all around you, but you are not crushed. You may be perplexed about what happened or what to do next, but you don’t have to be in despair. You may feel like you’re being persecuted for past mistakes, but the truth is that God will never leave you or abandon you. Maybe life threw you a curveball and knocked you off your feet, but you’re not destroyed.
Don’t give in to your situation, your thoughts, or your emotions. Be bold like Paul. The enemy wants nothing more than for you to give up and turn your back on God, but you have to let him know that you can do all things through Christ, who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13). It may be hard, but you can bear it.
As you walk through these tests and trials, God is developing things in you. You will come out of this season better, stronger, and wiser than you were before if you just trust in God. God made us to be overcomers and more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). He made us to be victorious in every situation. My sister, don’t give in!!
Declare: This heartbreak may be hard to bear, but I can certainly bear it. I’m not crushed. I am not in despair. I am not abandoned. And I am certainly not destroyed. I will make it out of this season of my life a better, stronger, and wiser person than I was when I entered this season. I am victorious, in Jesus’ Name!
