Day 3: Will You Allow God to Change You Sexually?

Perhaps you and your spouse have a very satisfying sexual relationship. Do you invite and welcome the Holy Spirit into your love making? It is His desire to make it even more satisfying than you can on your own. Perhaps you have been mistreated or abused sexually, as Johanna was. Will you let God change you sexually? We cannot promise that your experience of healing will be exactly like Johanna’s, but we can promise that God cares about your pain and trauma. He wants you to be whole sexually. Will you trust Him to lead you through your own unique healing process? Maybe you have had very poor examples of sexuality from your parents, siblings or friends. Maybe your parents demonstrated little or no physical affection with each other or with you. Maybe you were left with the attitude that sex is dirty, or sex is just for men. Maybe you got the idea you are not a man until you get women to have sex with you. God is waiting to hear from you and help you in whatever way you might need Him. Psalm 25:4-5 says,“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior and my hope is in you all day long.”

Can you say yes to Him and then be ready to follow however He leads?

Ponder & Pray:Lord, please reveal to me any wrong concepts the enemy may have brought to me that have come as a result of negative sexual experiences, poor family models, fear from abuse and any lies spoken about sex etc. and have robbed us of knowing God’s desire to be in the midst of our love making, blessing our sexuality.

Activation:Write down what you hear. Now take turns going through the 1-2-3 Skidoo Tool regarding these lies about sexuality.

1-2-3 Skidoo Tool (Follow the steps below and nail to the cross any areas that the Holy Spirit brought up while you were praying.)

1. I nail____________ to the cross.

(Example: Control, Manipulation, Accusation, Lies spoken about sexuality etc.) Be sure to nail all of the thoughts connected to those lies and spirits to the cross.

1. I break all agreements I’ve made with____________ known or unknown and I repent of joining with________. And I command all of this darkness and deception away from me.
2. I thank You, Father, for removing all of this away from me as far as the east is from the west, and Father, what do You want to give me in place of__________? (Take a few moments to hear what He wants to say to you or show you. It’s usually the first thing that comes to mind.)
