Dhavhidhi achiri mugwenga, akanzwa kuti Nabhari akanga achiveura makwai ake. Saka akatuma majaya gumi akati kwavari, “Endai kuna Nabhari paKarimeri mundomukwazisa muzita rangu. Muti kwaari, ‘Rugare kwauri! Utano hwakanaka kwauri neimba yako! Uye utano hwakanaka pazvinhu zvako zvose! “ ‘Zvino ndinonzwa kuti ino inguva yokuveura makwai. Vafudzi vako pavakanga vanesu, isu hatina kuvabata zvakaipa, uye nguva yose yavakanga vari paKarimeri hakuna chimwe chezvinhu zvavo chakarasika. Ubvunze varanda vako, ivo vachakuudza. Naizvozvo chinzwira majaya angu tsitsi, sezvo tasvika panguva yomutambo. Ndapota ipai varanda venyu nomwanakomana wenyu Dhavhidhi zvose zvamungamuwanira.’ ” Vanhu vaDhavhidhi vakati vasvika, vakaudza Nabhari mashoko aya muzita raDhavhidhi. Ipapo vakamirira. Nabhari akapindura varanda vaDhavhidhi akati, “Dhavhidhi uyu ndiani? Ndianiko uyu mwanakomana waJese? Varanda vazhinji vanotiza vatenzi vavo mazuva ano aya. Ko, ndingatorerei chingwa changu nemvura yangu uye nenyama yandakaurayira vaveuri vangu, ndichipa vanhu vandisingazivi kwavanobva?” Vanhu vaDhavhidhi vakatendeuka vakadzokera havo. Vakati vasvika, vakamutaurira mashoko ose. Dhavhidhi akati kuvanhu vake, “Pakatai minondo!” Saka vakapakata minondo yavo, naDhavhidhi akapakatawo wake. Varume vanenge mazana mana vakaenda naDhavhidhi, vanokwana mazana maviri vakasara vane nhumbi. Mumwe wavaranda akataura kuna Abhigairi mukadzi waNabhari akati, “Dhavhidhi akatuma nhume kubva kurenje kuzokwazisa vatenzi vedu, asi ivo vakavatuka. Asi varume ava vakanga vakanaka kwazvo kwatiri. Havana kutibata zvakaipa, uye panguva yose iyi yatakanga tinavo musango hatina kurasikirwa nechinhu. Vakanga vari rusvingo kwatiri usiku namasikati nguva yose yatakanga tichifudza makwai edu pedyo navo. Zvino fungisisai izvi muone zvamungaita, nokuti njodzi yadongorera pamusoro patenzi wedu neimba yake yose. Iye munhu akaipa zvokuti hakuna angataura naye.” Abhigairi haana kupedza nguva. Akatora mazana maviri ezvingwa, matende amatehwe ewaini maviri, makwai akavhiyiwa mashanu, zviyero zvishanu zvezviyo zvakakangwa, mazana mashanu amakeke amazambiringa akaoma uye mazana maviri amakeke amaonde akasvinwa, akazvitakudza mbongoro. Ipapo akataura kuvaranda vake akati, “Chitungamirai; ini ndichakuteverai.” Asi haana kuudza murume wake Nabhari. Akati achiuya akatasva mbongoro yake pamupata wegomo, vanaDhavhidhi navanhu vake vakaburuka vakananga kwaari, iye akasangana navo. Dhavhidhi akanga achangobva kuti, “Zvirokwazvo ndakatamburirei kuchengetedza zvinhu zvose zvomunhu uyu murenje zvokuti hapana chinhu chake chakarasika. Andiripira nezvakaipa pachinzvimbo chezvakanaka. Mwari ngaarove Dhavhidhi, amurove kwazvo, kana mangwana mangwanani ndikasiya murume mumwe chete pavanhu vose vaanavo!” Abhigairi akati achiona Dhavhidhi, akakurumidza kuburuka pambongoro yake akakotama nechiso chake pamberi paDhavhidhi. Asi kana ndirini, murandakadzi wenyu, handina kuona vanhu vakanga vatumwa natenzi wangu. “Zvino sezvo Jehovha akudzivisai, tenzi wangu, pakuteura ropa uye napakuzvitsivira namaoko enyu, zvirokwazvo naJehovha mupenyu, uye noupenyu hwenyu, vavengi venyu navose vanoda kuitira tenzi wangu zvakaipa ngavafanane naNabhari. Uye chipo ichi chauyiswa kuna tenzi nomurandakadzi wenyu ngachipiwe kuvanhu vanokuteverai. Asi upenyu hwavavengi venyu achahupotsera kure sohunobva muhomwe yechimviriri. Mushure mokunge Jehovha aitira tenzi wangu zvinhu zvose zvakanaka zvaakavimbisa pamusoro pake uye amugadza kuti ave mutungamiri weIsraeri, tenzi wangu haangazovi nomutoro unorema pahana yake wokuteura ropa risina mhosva kana wokuzvitsivira pachake. Uye kana Jehovha akakundisa tenzi wangu, murangarire henyu murandakadzi wenyu.” Dhavhidhi akati kuna Abhigairi, “Jehovha ngaarumbidzwe, Mwari waIsraeri, akutuma nhasi kuti uzosangana neni. Uropafadzwe iwe nokuda kwokungwara kwako kwakanaka uye nokundiita kuti ndisateura ropa nhasi uye kuti ndisazvitsivira namaoko angu. Zvirokwazvo naJehovha Mwari waIsraeri mupenyu, iye andidzivisa kuti ndirege kukuuraya, zvimwe dai usina kukurumidza kusangana neni, hakuna murume pakati pavanhu vaNabhari anga achasiyiwa ari mupenyu mangwana chaiwo kuchiedza.” Ipapo Dhavhidhi akagamuchira kubva muruoko rwake zvaakanga amuvigira akati, “Enda kumba norugare. Ndanzwa mashoko ako uye nechikumbiro chako.”

Dhavhidhi akatuma majaya ane gumi, Dhavhidhi akati kumajaya, “Kwirai Karimeri, muende kuna Nabhari, mundomukwazisa nezita rangu. Mugoti kuna iye agere pakati pepfuma yake, ‘Rugare ngaruve nemi, rugare ngaruve neimba yenyu, uye rugare ngaruve pazvinhu zvose zvamunazvo. Zvino ndakanzwa kuti muna vaveuri; vafudzi venyu vaiva nesu zvino, asi hatina kuvatambudza, uye havana kurashikirwa nechinhu nguva yose yavakagara paKarimeri. Bvunzai majaya enyu, vakuudzei; zvino majaya ngaanzwirwe tsitsi nemi, nokuti tinouya nezuva rakanaka; ipai henyu varanda venyu nomwanakomana wenyu Dhavhidhi chinhu chipi nechipi chamunacho.’ ” Zvino majaya aDhavhidhi akati asvika, akaudza Nabhari mashoko iwayo ose nezita raDhavhidhi, vakanyarara havo. Ipapo Nabhari akapindura varanda vaDhavhidhi akati, “Dhavhidhi ndianiko? Mazuva ano varanda vazhinji vanotiza vatenzi vavo. Ndingatora zvingwa zvangu, nemvura yangu, nenyama yangu yandakaurayira vaveuri vangu, ndizvipe varume vandisingazivi kuti vanobvekupiko here?” Naizvozvo majaya aDhavhidhi akapinduka hawo, akadzoka, akandomuudza mashoko iwayo ose. Dhavhidhi akati kuvanhu vake, “Mumwe nomumwe wenyu ngaasunge munondo wake;” mumwe nomumwe akasunga munondo wake; naiye Dhavhidhiwo akasunga munondo wake; varume vanenge mazana mana vakatevera Dhavhidhi, vana mazana maviri vakasara panhumbi. Asi mumwe wamajaya wakandoudza Abhigairi, mukadzi waNabhari, akati, “Tarirai, Dhavhidhi wakanga atuma nhume, ari kurenje, kundokwazisa tenzi wedu; ivo vakavatuka kwazvo. Asi varume avo vaitiitira zvakanaka, hatina kutambudzwa navo; hatina kurashikirwa nechinhu mazuva ose atakafambidzana navo kusango. Vakanga vakaita sorusvingo kwatiri usiku namasikati mazuva ose ataigara navo tichifudza makwai. “Naizvozvo zvino chizivai mufunge zvamungaita, nokuti tenzi wedu navose veimba yake vagara vafungirwa zvakaipa; nokuti munhu wakaisvoipa wakadaro, kuti hakuna munhu ungagona kutaura naye.” Ipapo Abhigairi akakurumidza kutora zvingwa zvina mazana maviri, namatende maviri ewaini, namakwai mashanu akanga agadzirwa, nezviyero zvishanu zvezviyo zvakakangwa, namasumbu amadzambiringa akawoma ane zana, namapundu amawonde ana mazana maviri, akazviisa pamusoro pembongoro. Akati kumajaya ake, “Nditungamirirei, tarirai, ndinokuteverai.” Asi haana kuudza murume wake Nabhari. Zvino wakati achifamba akatasva mbongoro yake, akaburukira pamupata pegomo, Dhavhidhi navarume vake vakaburukirawo kwaari; iye akasangana navo. Zvino Dhavhidhi wakanga ati, “Zvirokwazvo, ndaichengeta hangu zvinhu zvose zvomunhu uyu nhandu murenje, hakuna chinhu chimwe chake chakarashika; akanditsiva nezvakaipa pane zvakanaka. Mwari ngaarove vavengi vaDhavhidhi, arambe achidaro, kana ndikarega kunyange mwanakomana mumwechete kuna vose vaanavo ari mupenyu kusvikira mangwana.” Zvino Abhigairi wakati achiona Dhavhidhi, akakurumidza kuburuka pambongoro yake, akawira pasi nechiso chake pamberi paDhavhidhi, akakotamira pasi. Akawira patsoka dzake, akati, “Mhosva ngaive kwandiri, ishe wangu, ndinokumbira kuti murandakadzi wenyu ataure nemi, munzwe mashoko omurandakadzi wenyu. Ndinokumbira kuti ishe wangu arege hake kurangarira munhu uyu wakaisvoipa, iye Nabhari; nokuti sezita rake ndizvo zvaakaitawo iye, zita rake ndiNabhari, naiye ibenzi; asi ini murandakadzi wenyu, handina kuona majaya ashe wangu amakatuma. Naizvozvo zvino, ishe wangu, naJehovha mupenyu, uye nomweya wenyu mupenyu, zvaari Jehovha wakakudzivisai kuteura ropa nokuzvitsiva noruoko rwenyu, naizvozvo zvino vavengi venyu navanotsvaka kuitira ishe wangu zvakaipa, ngavave saNabhari. Zvino, ishe wangu, chipo ichi chamakavigirwa nomurandakadzi wenyu, ngachipiwe hacho majaya anotevera ishe wangu. Kanganwirai henyu kudarika kwomurandakadzi wenyu, nokuti zvirokwazvo Jehovha uchaitira ishe wangu imba yakasimba, nokuti ishe wangu unorwa hondo dzaJehovha; zvakaipa hazvingawanikwi kwamuri mazuva enyu ose. Kunyange munhu akasimuka kukudzingirirai, nokutsvaka kukuurayai, mweya washe wangu ucharamba wakasungirwa pachisote chavapenyu vari kuna Jehovha Mwari wenyu; asi mweya yavavengi venyu uchaiposhera kure, ichiita seinobva muchikanda chechifuramabwe. Zvino kana Jehovha azoitira ishe wangu zvose zvakanaka zvaakanga ataura pamusoro penyu, akakugadzai mukava mambo waIsiraeri, murege kuzvidemba pamusoro pechinhu ichi, uye ishe wangu arege kuzvidya mwoyo, nokuti makateura ropa risine mhosva, kana nokuti ishe wangu wakazvitsiva; zvino kana Jehovha achinge aitira ishe wangu zvakanaka, murangarirewo murandakadzi wenyu.” Dhavhidhi akati kuna Abhigairi, “Jehovha Mwari waIsiraeri ngaakudzwe, iye wakakutuma nhasi kuzosangana neni; nokungwara kwako ngakukudzwe, newewo ukudzwe, nokuti wakandidzivirira nhasi kuti ndirege kuteura ropa, nokuzvitsiva noruoko rwangu. Zvirokwazvo, naJehovha Mwari waIsiraeri mupenyu, iye wakandidzivirira kuti ndirege kukuitira zvakaipa, dai usina kukurumidza kuuya kuzosangana neni, Nabhari zvirokwazvo haazaisarirwa mangwana kana kwoedza nomwana mumwe womukomana.” Naizvozvo Dhavhidhi akagamuchira paruoko rwake zvaakanga amuvigira, akati kwaari, “Kwira hako norugare kumba kwako; tarira ndateerera izwi rako, ndakunzwira tsitsi.”

Zvino vafudzi venyu vakanga vanesu kuno, asi hapana chakaipa chatakaita kwavari. Hapana chavakarasikirwa nacho nguva yose iyi yavanga vari kuKarimeri. Kana mukabvunza zvenyu varanda venyu, vanokuudzaiwo izvozvi. Naizvozvo dai mukaitira zvenyu majaya angu ayo tsiye nyoro zvatauyawo kuno zuva guru rakadai. Dai mukawanawo zvimwe zvamunazvo zvamungape varanda venyu neni mwana wenyu Dhavhidhi.” Kuzoti majaya aDhavhidhi asvikako akapira kuna Nabhari zvose izvi achiti tatumwa naDhavhidhi, ndokumira zvavo. Nabhari akapindura varanda vaDhavhidhi achiti, “Dhavhidhi iyeyo ndiani? Chii mwana waJese iyeyo? Kune varanda vazhinji kwazvo mazuva ano vari kutiza vatenzi vavo. Nditore chingwa changu, nemvura yangu, nenyama yandabayira vaveuri vangu, ndichipa zvangu kuvanhu vandisingamboziva kana nokwavanobva here?” Majaya aDhavhidhi akadzokera zvawo akasvikotaurira Dhavhidhi zvose izvozvi. Dhavhidhi akati kuvanhu vake, “Varume, munhu wose ngaapakate bakatwa rake!” Munhu wose akapakata bakatwa rake, Dhavhidhi akapakatawo rake. Mazana mana avanhu akaenda naDhavhidhi, kukasara mazana maviri vakachengeta zvinhu. Asi mumwe muranda akaruma nzeve mudzimai waNabhari, Abhigairi kuti, “Dhavhidhi akatuma nhumwa dzakasvika kuna tenzi wedu dzichibva kurenje kuzovakwazisa, asi ivo vakadzijinyura. Asi mufunge zvenyuka, vanhu ivava vakatiitira zvakanaka kwazvo. Havana chakaipa chavakaita kwatiri. Hapana chatakarasikirwa nacho kumafuro nguva yose iyi yatakanga tiinavo. Vakanga vari rusvingo chairwo kutichengetedza, siku nesikati nguva yose iyi zvayo yatanga tichifudza hwai. Zvino dai mukambopafungawo zvenyu apa muone zvokuita, nokuti tenzi wedu atova munyatwa chaiyo izvozvi pamwechete navanhu vose vemhuri yake. Asi tenzi wedu uyu munhu ane mwoyo wakaipa kwazvo haatiuriki.” Abhigairi akabva aita chimbichimbi kutora mazana maviri ezvingwa nezvigubhu zviviri zvewaini nehwai shanu dzakavhiyiwa, namabhagidhi maviri embesanwa dzakakangwa, nezana rezvisumbu zvamagirepisi akaomeswa namazana maviri ezvambwa zvamakuyu, akazvitakudza pamadhongi. Akati kuvaranda vake, “Chitungamirai, ini ndiri kutevera!” Asi mudzimai waNabhari haana kutaurira murume wake. Paaifamba kudaro ari padhongi rake, akati pindei mumupata wegomo, onei Dhavhidhi navanhu vake vari kuuya vakananga kwaari, ndokusangana navo. Dhavhidhi akanga achitoti, “Chaizvoizvo ini ndakatamburira nhando nhai kuchengeta zvinhu zvose zvomunhu uyu murenje, pasina chimwechete chake chaakarasikirwa nacho. Ini ndakamuitira zvakanaka kudaro, ndopaava kunditsiva nezvakaipa kudai. Kana ramangwanani rikabuda kuchine wechirume wemhuri yake wandinenge ndasiya ari mupenyu, iyeni Dhavhidhi, Tenzi ngaandione.” Abhigairi paakaona Dhavhidhi akabva akurumidza kuburuka padhongi rake akapfugamira Dhavhidhi akatsikitsira uso akamukotamira. Ndinopika naTenzi, Mwari waIsiraeri mupenyu aita kuti ndirege kukukuvadza, ndichiti dai wanga usina kukurumidza kuchingurana neni, chokwadi mangwana kwaNabhari kwaifuma kusisina kana munhu wechirume mumwechete zvake!” Dhavhidhi akagamuchira zvakanga zvauya nomukadzi uyu kwaari, akamuti, “Chidzokera zvako kumusha kwako zvawataura ndazvinzwa uye ndichaita zvawareva.”

Ɀino Davidi wakaŋga ati: Ɀirokwaɀo, ndaiceŋgeta haŋgu ɀinhu ɀose ɀomunhu uyu nhandu murenje, hakunecinhu cimŋe cake cakarashika; akanditsiʋa neɀakaipa paneɀakanaka. Mŋari ŋgaaroʋe ʋaʋeŋgi ʋaDavidi, arambe aciɗaro, kana ndikarega kunyaŋge mŋanakomana mumŋe cete kunaʋose ʋaanaʋo ari mupenyu kuȿikira maŋgwana. Pakanga Dhavhidhi ari kurenje akanzwa zvichinzi Nabhari ari kuveura hwai dzake kuKarimeri. Akatuma majaya gumi achiti, “Endai kuKarimeri mundondikwazisirawo Nabhari. Muti kwaari zvanzi, ‘Rugare ngaruve nemi. Zvanzi kufara kwamuri imi mose nemhuri yenyu. Makadiiko nezvose zvamunazvo?’ Ndiri kunzwa kuti muri mukuveura zvipfuwo zvenyu. Zvino vafudzi venyu vakanga vanesu kuno, asi hapana chakaipa chatakaita kwavari. Hapana chavakarasikirwa nacho nguva yose iyi yavanga vari kuKarimeri. Kana mukabvunza zvenyu varanda venyu, vanokuudzaiwo izvozvi. Naizvozvo dai mukaitira zvenyu majaya angu ayo tsiye nyoro zvatauyawo kuno zuva guru rakadai. Dai mukawanawo zvimwe zvamunazvo zvamungape varanda venyu neni mwana wenyu Dhavhidhi.” Kuzoti majaya aDhavhidhi asvikako akapira kuna Nabhari zvose izvi achiti tatumwa naDhavhidhi, ndokumira zvavo. Nabhari akapindura varanda vaDhavhidhi achiti, “Dhavhidhi iyeyo ndiani? Chii mwana waJese iyeyo? Kune varanda vazhinji kwazvo mazuva ano vari kutiza vatenzi vavo. Nditore chingwa changu, nemvura yangu, nenyama yandabayira vaveuri vangu, ndichipa zvangu kuvanhu vandisingamboziva kana nokwavanobva here?” Majaya aDhavhidhi akadzokera zvawo akasvikotaurira Dhavhidhi zvose izvozvi.
