Godly Women

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 31:30-31 (ESV)

The verse above identifies the qualities of a Godly woman who worships and serves the Lord. She involves God in everything she does and brings God’s Kingdom to all she comes in contact with. This is what she shall be remembered for, and her works shall be recognised and praised by the entire city. Outward beauty and youthfulness are temporary, but Godly character will continue into eternity. God wants all of us to put our hope in Him, and believe in all that we are and can be, just like this Godly woman. In doing so, we shall live a purpose driven life and prosper in all we are doing.

Prayer: 

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom through the book of Proverbs, for teaching us truth, and giving us knowledge and revelation of Your Word, so we would be able to show others our love through acts of service, kindness and love.  Let Your will be done in our life now, and always.  I ask this in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
