DAY 2 OF 7

Breathed Into Existence

Adam was truly an anomaly in all of God’s creation. As you read through Genesis 1, you will read “God said ________ and ________ was so” many times.

In this section, you will see that God merely spoke and existence of his creation followed. How amazing is that? You are the child of an all-powerful God who can speak creation into existence!

In Genesis 2, you see a unique sequence in Adam’s creation. Adam was formed, not just spoken into existence. God took time with His own hands to create Adam like a potter shapes a masterpiece.

Remember, God had a roadmap for the creation of Adam, “Let us make man in our image.” (Genesis 1:26) God created Adam, not to be a pet, but an eternal son.

Then the greatest anomaly of this sequence happens in Genesis 2:7 and God the Father breathed into Adam’s nostrils the breath of life. God’s very own breath, His eternal breath went into Adam and Adam became an eternal son of God born in time. Adam’s design from the very beginning was life breathed into him by God. This eternal nature has not left humankind since creation.

You see, we are indestructible by design! We will all live billions of years. It’s true, we will pass through death at some point, but we live beyond death because God breathed His eternal indestructible life into us from the very beginning.
