Day 2: King Xerxes Searches for a New Queen
When King Xerxes calmed down, he felt sad. He missed Queen Vashti but it was too late to call her back!
One of his servants had an idea: "Why don't you search your kingdom for the most beautiful women? You can choose one of them to be your queen!"
"That's a great idea!" said King Xerxes. He ordered his servants to bring all the most beautiful girls to his palace right away.
Esther was growing up into a beautiful young woman, so when the King's servants saw her, they brought her to the palace too.
Esther was taken from her only family! How do you think Esther felt? How would you feel if you were taken away from your home? What do you think God's plan for Esther was?
