Situated at the northern tip of the Persian Gulf, flanked by Saudi Arabia and Iraq, Kuwait has vast oil reserves, substantial wealth, and a key seaport. The population of 3,000,000 was originally comprised of nomadic tribes who settled in the area in the 18th century. Today, Kuwaitis are the minority, with immigrants forming the majority. Unfortunately, these migrant workers often face exploitation and discrimination.

Despite restrictions for preaching the Gospel, the underground church experiences growth in both numbers and maturity, with Christian satellite TV, radio broadcasts, and online platforms proving effective in reaching Kuwait with the Good News of Jesus. Notably, many Kuwaiti students studying abroad accept Jesus as their Savior. However, challenges persist, particularly in ministering to the stateless Arab minority known as the Bidoon.

Prayer Points to Consider:

• Pray that Kuwait’s wealthy would find their riches in the peace of Jesus.
• Pray for discipleship movements within the nation, especially among the marginalized 70% of immigrants.
• Pray for Christian workers and Kuwaiti believers to be protected and emboldened to spread the Gospel. Living and speaking with the Holy Spirit’s discernment and wisdom.
• Pray for the 92,000 Kuwaiti-born Bidoon who remain stateless and persecuted for being rural nomadic undesirables.
• Pray for sound Biblical leadership and discipleship to continue to help the Church grow spiritually and numerically despite closed access to evangelism. Ask for vibrant worship to characterize the Church, exalting Lord Jesus and opening doors in the Spirit that have been closed for the Gospel.

Heavenly Father...I bring before Your throne the nation of Kuwait. As Kuwaiti young people become frustrated and bored, realizing that material wealth is not enough to provide fulfillment to their lives, may their hearts be turned to Jesus. I pray for many of them to come to Christ and experience the Holy Spirit’s power during their studies abroad, bringing the Gospel back home. May continuing revival take place among Your church with a renewed passion for Your Word and Holy Spirit empowerment. As lives are transformed, may Your heart for all people, from the poorest to the most wealthy, watch, see, and receive Jesus as Lord. In His Holy Name, I pray. Amen!
