God's Redemption Story (Revelation)

DAY 17 OF 40

We Are in a Spiritual Battle - Day 17

Did you know that God makes a point to listen to our prayers? Revelation 8 says that in the middle of the Great Tribulation—with the seals being opened, angels on horseback being sent to earth, and nature going crazy—God made everything stop and be quiet for a time so that he could listen to the prayers of those calling out to him. Can you see it in your mind? He is not resting his chin on his palm and rolling his eyes while we drone on and on about I want this, or I want that. He shushes everything around him and leans down to make sure he hears when you whisper, “God, I need help.”

If he’s leaning down to us, shouldn’t we be reaching up to him? Let’s take time to stop today and talk to him.
