God's Redemption Story (Revelation)

DAY 14 OF 40

We Don’t Know the Day or Hour - Day 14

While everyone has different standards for the cleanliness of their homes, it’s true that nearly everyone has higher standards when hosting guests in their homes. How clean would your home be if you genuinely believed guests could pop in at any moment? This week, we have been focusing on the truth that we do not know the day or the hour of Jesus Christ’s return to set all things right. If we truly believe and acknowledge this truth, what should our response be? What would it look like if we really lived like Jesus could come back at any moment? It is likely that our priorities would be vastly different. We would have a different standard for living. Our metaphorical “homes” would probably be much cleaner. Today, pray and ask the Lord to show you how you can best live out the knowledge that Jesus’s return could occur at any point. Ask Him to direct your heart, mind, and actions to things He has asked His people to prioritize.
