"Everyone Will Go To Heaven"

Rick is a terrific, handsome, open, transparent, easy-going young man of 35. It's hard to remember everything because we spent almost an hour together in the mall. We did the 10 Question Survey. He's pretty ignorant of spiritual things. He had become almost addicted to watching near-death experience testimonies.

He did read through Steps To Peace With God with me, but commitment is his problem. At one point, he said, "If we were both standing before God it doesn't seem right that you would say Jesus and go to heaven but if I didn't I wouldn't." He also said, "I can't believe I've done enough bad things to not get into heaven."

He felt everyone would go to heaven even Hitler. But as I brought up illustrations he began to realize there were big fallacies in his reasoning.

I discovered he's been living with a woman for a long time but because there's no paperwork they're not officially married. I said, "I said I see a trend here!" and he laughed because he knew what I meant. I repeat: He has a commitment problem! Both to God and marriage.

He has the Are You A Good Person, the funny 101 One-Liners tracts, and my business card.

There was lots of laughter. He was a joy to talk with.

Please ask God to show Rick that God wants him to commit to His offer of Free Eternal Life through Jesus Christ. Thanks again!

Reminder: I am learning to love the people with whom God’s Spirit is prompting me to share His story. I never know what God might already be doing in their lives. The love of Jesus has stirred within me and completely overcome my fears and obstacles to sharing. Praise the Lord!
