Gone Fishin' Eight

DAY 4 OF 5

Gone Fishin'

"I Hope I Get To Heaven"

Sorry, but I can't recall how we got started talking there in the mall. But it was easy!

John is 63 and recently had a mini-stroke. When he went to the hospital recently for this stroke he passed out in the lobby. While in his room, he sensed an evil presence that really scared him.

When he was in the hospital at 24 years of age, a fellow talked to him about God loving him. That was a big turnaround for him. But when he came back to talk with him at the hospital, the guy was gone.

John goes to a Catholic Church 7 days a week. He also listens to the Calvary pastor Greg Laurie, who lost his teen son in a car accident.

Unfortunately, he still can't quite grasp that "hoping" he goes to heaven doesn't have to be a question mark. I shared a Gospel summary and 1 John 5:11-13. ("That you man KNOW that you have eternal life!")

After I prayed with him, he said he would like to visit our church. I gave him the address by text and we took a picture together.

John said, "Let's have a hug!"
Then he said, "I feel like God came to me today." That blew me away!

About a month later, I came across John in the mall again, He was sharing his faith with a guy. He asked me to share my testimony with his new friend too! It was a terrific time together. The guy was open.

Please ask God to give John PEACE because Jesus paid for all his sins. Thanks again!

Be Encouraged. Be Inspired.
Have GOALS.
Go. Open Your Mouth. Ask Questions. Listen. Share your story.

ONE THING YOU CAN’T DO IN HEAVEN -- by Mark Cahill
"If God gave you a thousand dollars every time you shared your faith in Jesus Christ, would you share your faith?"

Thanks again for your desire to share Christ!
Your brother in Christ, Drake

About this Plan

Gone Fishin' Eight

Many people are smiling, but hurting inside. I have discovered that God is doing something in everyone's life, and He's doing something in mine too! I'm loving/praying for strangers like never before. And they are grateful. These personal stories in my life are to help you help others move one step closer to God.
