"That's Not In The Bible!"

"You come to the mall often?" I asked.

Fatah is an IT worker from Indiana born in Afghanistan and came here when he was 16. Happy to go through the survey with me. It was a lively conversation! Here are a few of his statements.

"I believe in heaven and hell and if you sin you'll go to hell. Jesus Christ never died. Jesus is coming again. But, he could never come again if he had died. He never rose from the dead."

I told Fatah Jesus said, "I am the resurrection." I pointed out he was seen for 40 days afterwards. He said, "I don't believe that." He was adamant Jesus is not God the Son or the Son of God. "There's only one God, Allah."

I read him Scriptures where Jesus was worshiped. I asked if he would worship Jesus. He said, "No that would be sin!" I showed him scriptures where Jesus claimed to be God and Paul claimed he was God. He said "That's proof men have changed the Bible. Your version says it but other versions won't."

He said, "Jesus is a prophet just like Muhammad and I could find Muhammad in the Bible." I demonstrated by searching the Bible and it said he's not in the Bible. He said, "That's just further proof men have changed the Bible."

He said "Do I believe in drinking or drugs? I said no. He said you are correct. It is sin. I told him Jesus made wine and he said "No that's not in the Bible."

He did admit he had lied stolen and blasphemed. But because he had admitted that was wrong it was possible God would let him into heaven maybe.

He was happy to take Steps to Peace with God, liked my business card, and would listen to my story of how I became a follower of Christ.

He really got a kick out of the trillion-dollar bill. It has the gospel on the back demonstrating our need to repent and trust Christ for salvation. He told me he loved our talk. We fist bumped and off we went.

Glory to God for another opportunity to share the Love of God. I turned down seven people who presented me with the Gospel over several years! I'm not discouraged!

Please pray for God to open Fatah's eyes to see Jesus is God the Son. Thanks again!
