Sing Praise: Five-Day Devotional by Passion Kids WorshipSample
What He’s Done
When we’re little we’re taught manners - to say things like please, thank you, no thank you. We say these things when we want to show someone respect and kindness. But, it can get pretty repetitive, saying these phrases over and over!
“May I have some water please? Thank you!”
“Can I borrow a pencil please? Thank you!”
“No thank you, I don’t want any carrots.”
You know who never gets tired of hearing “Thank you”? God!
In fact, the Bible tells us to give thanks at least 25 times!
The song, “What He’s Done”, encourages us to remember everything that God has done for us -
What He’s done
What He’s done
All the glory and the honor to the Son
My sins are forgiven
My future is Heaven
I praise God for what He’s done
We praise God for everything he has done for us. Our praise is a way of saying thank you, to the One who has done so much for us.
We praise God when we say thank you for things like:
Providing for us
Giving us peace, courage, hope, and grace
Even the hard things like disappointment, or hard news
In sadness, grief, and confusion
In all circumstances, we can give thanks!
Do you know the best thing we can say “thank you” for, though?
It’s in the song - “My sins are forgiven, my future is heaven.”
God loved us so much that He sent His only son to die on the cross so that we may have life in Him. And not just ordinary life, life to the full! When we believe in Him, we receive the gift of eternal life - forever and ever and ever praising God! Our future is all figured out when we believe in Jesus.
Psalm 9:1 says, “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.”
In other words, I will praise God for what He’s done! When you sing the song, remember and say thank you for all that God has done in your life and those around you.
