# Proclaims to a King ## Story of a Queen At an international women's conference in Tonga, I witnessed one of the most humbling moments of my life. It is the custom in Tonga that the Queen's head be above that of her subjects. On the final day of this gathering, the Queen of Tonga took her national flag, came down from her throne on stage to the auditorium area, and at the foot of the cross took this flag and bowed so low her face was on the floor. Then children - little children - gathered around her and prayed for her and the nation of Tonga. Her role-model of true humility in the face of Christ was overwhelming. This picture of Christ-like leadership has stayed with me ever since. The Queen of Tonga is a queen above queens. I pray other national leaders follow in her footsteps, as she follows her Lord Jesus Christ. – Sarah Plummer ## A Prayer King of Kings, We call upon you to transform the hearts of our nations leaders. Soften them to think and act for the benefit of your kingdom. Convict them of the need for repentance. Help them to serve their people, and to consider the needs of others. Write a prayer asking God to preach Christ to them so that they might believe in him and serve the people entrusted to their leadership. Write a prayer asking God to raise up Christians and Christian preachers who will have the opportunity to speak about Christ to those in authority.
