Treasures Of Wisdom

Spiritual wealth, the heavenly wisdom of God, is waiting to be discovered like hidden treasure. Proverbs 25:2 puts it this way: “God is honored for what he keeps secret. Kings are honored for what they can discover.” The Passion Translation makes it even clearer when it says, “The honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.”

It is our honor to search out the wisdom of God like hidden treasure. He rewards every hungry heart with revelations of his glory. Where do we look? In Christ himself. He is the living image of the Father and reveals the heart of God to all who look to him. Christ is the first and last word on the kingdom of heaven, so let’s look to him more than any mortal faith expert.

Lord Jesus, I look to you for wisdom and knowledge as I try to make my way in life. I trust your leadership and your values more than any other. I fix my eyes on you, the author and perfecter of my faith.
