Be Cautious!
Matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
God told the Israelites not to fall for false prophets. They had to be cautious not to worship the wrong gods. God warned them to be careful not to let false dreamers deceive them. They had to serve and believe in the only God, who is the true God, who brought them to the promised land.
Do not judge a book by its cover. Do not expect a false prophet to appear as scary as Thanos or Voldemort. Sometimes they look sweet and innocent as sheep, yet they are ready to eat you like a hungry wolf. Remember the story of Little Red Riding Hood? The big wolf disguised himself in grandmother's clothes.
A false prophet is someone who claims to teach God's Word, but in fact, he teaches something wrong or less than the whole truth. Sometimes in the media you might see people claiming that they are God or the Messiah or the messenger of God, and many followers just blindly believe them. Be cautious and do not be deceived. Put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Stand firm on God's word through reading the Bible. The Bible will give you wisdom on what to believe and what to reject.
Prayer
Dear God, help me to study Your word and to keep it in my heart, so that I will not be deceived by those who try to lead me astray. Amen.
