DAY 7 OF 7

Day 7 Confessions of An Overcomer

In the last part of the book of Joshua we see a powerful farewell to his leaders before God calls him home. In a nutshell he reminded them that God kept His promises to them, He fought for them and He led them into this amazing land! God did it, not them.

He encouraged them to never turn back to worthless idols. Then his next declaration means everything.  This next part that Joshua confesses is Joshua’s most famous quote that he could ever have said. If Twitter and Facebook were around in biblical days, his likes from this next sentence would have gone triple platinum viral. Joshua says, “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve The Lord!”

Do you have that scripture somewhere in your house or in a journal or on your desk? I know most of us do. “But, as for me and my household, we will serve The Lord.” Joshua 24:15.

Do you know what this scripture means to me? Everything! It means, I’ve decided what works for the Mydlo Family, and it is, Jesus. Jesus is it for Mo Mydlo and Tommy Mydlo and as far as I have any control, Jake, Travis, Sara and Eli Mydlo. As for the Mydlo house, we will serve The Lord. Does that mean that it works for you? Choose today whom you will serve.

Have you made a decision that no matter what happens, no matter how you feel, no matter what kind of obstacles that you face, you will serve The Lord? I encourage you to make that confession today.

The truth is, what we say, matters. What we speak out of our mouths has power. We need to start speaking things like Joshua did. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Start confessing things like. “God loves me! He’s proud of me! I’m Better than I was and I’m getting better every day”.

Start confessing things like, “I love God’s Word. It heals me and makes me free!”

Start confessing things like, “Jesus loves me, He’s never going to leave me.”

Start confessing things like, “Not today devil! I will not fear! No fear here!”

Start confessing things like, “Today is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Start confessing things like “God is doing amazing things in my life.”

Start confessing things like, “I am well, I am happy. I am whole.”

You are an overcomer. Let’s fight the good fight of faith together standing tall and proud confessing together as one, the confession an overcomer would confess: “As for me and my house, we will serve The Lord.”
