Listening To The Word - 1 YearSample
From Faith and Full Surrender
Acts 19:6-7, 17-18
“When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. There were about twelve men in all…When this became known…the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds.”
The purpose of Jesus for all believers is that they would live in the power of the Holy Spirit, not only in their salvation faith. The Holy Spirit exposes sin and the lies of the enemy in our lives. There is a big difference between having the Holy Spirit (sealed at conversion), and the Holy Spirit having us. For the Holy Spirit to fill us, he will expose and drive out all other spiritual wickedness and darkness. Evil deeds have no place among the people of God. The fear of the Lord will expose darkness and set us free.
Lord Jesus, move me from faith to full surrender to your Spirit in every area of my life, for your glory.
