Introduction

Jesus knows that he will fulfill God’s purpose by suffering death on a cross and that his death will bring glory to God the Father.

[Jesus said:] “Believe in the light, then, while you have it, so that you will be the people of the light.”

Reread verse 24. Why do you think Jesus uses the metaphor of a grain of wheat? What is at the heart of his teaching? What do you think it means to be “people of the light?"

Pray

Lord Jesus, I believe in you and I seek to serve and follow you, walking in your light and in your way. Amen.
