Jesus Culture - Let It Echo DevotionalПример
"Let It Echo" - Chris Quilala
Let it echo is a song about the beautiful pursuit we encounter as believers, one of being completely satisfied by God but also hungry for more of Him. We know that when we draw near to God he draws near to us and where His Spirit is, there is freedom. This song is a prayer, “Let the windows of the heavens open wide and let it rain.” Personally, I have seen God show up in my life when I’ve turned my eyes towards His face and began to worship. In every situation if we can let our first response to be that of praise and thanksgiving to God, we will see Him move on our behalf. We see this in the book of Acts, “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26 NKJV. When Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped, God not only loosed their chains but it says, “everyone’s chains were loosed!” When we worship the atmosphere around us changes. I am constantly reminded that praise is a lifestyle and when we live with our affections set on Him we are inviting God to come and show up in our lives.
“Let it echo from this city to the nations the sound of praise. Let the windows of the heavens open wide, let it rain.” I pray that as you lift up your song of praise today you will see heaven poured out in your life, in your city and in your nation.
