There are times when everybody needs an advocate. Maybe you need somebody to speak for you when you don’t know what to say, when you’re too broken or weak to articulate things, or when you’re in something way over your head. Maybe you get help from a coach, an attorney, or a parent.
The ultimate advocate is the Holy Spirit. Who can bring your needs before the throne of God and speak on your behalf better than the Holy Spirit? The Bible says in Romans 8:26,27, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us . . . in accordance with God’s will.” Visualize it! Right now the Spirit of the Lord is advocating for you!
