Listening to God's VoiceSample

God speaks to us by His Son
“Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son” (Hebrews 1:1-2)
Throughout the centuries, God revealed Himself more and more by what He said and did. Then, about the year 0 BC, God revealed Himself in a supreme and wonderful way: God the Son became human. His name was Jesus. He "spoke" to humanity, both by preaching and by acting out God’s love for us. He shows us Who God is, as He is “the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature” (Hebrews 1:3).
The incarnation of Jesus shows the depth of God's love for us humans. To bridge the gap between Himself and humanity, God the Son gave up His position full of power and glory, and came to earth as an ordinary human being. He endured the difficulties that come with being human in a damaged world, He additionally endured the ridicule and rejection of people who did not believe in Him, and finally allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross. His love was beyond all limits. And that speaks volumes!
John, one of Jesus' faithful followers, writes in wonder, “We have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)
