Why People Lose the KingdomSample

SPIRITUAL IGNORANCE
MAIN IDEAS
• The Sadducees were a religious group who had no interest in the Kingdom of God. They wanted a contradictory conversation, which would help them support their philosophical and religious doctrine.
• Although they were educated, JESUS tells them they are lost, as they are ignorant regarding not only Scripture but also regarding the Power of God.
• In conclusion, ignorance and spiritual lack of knowledge lead to errancy regarding the Kingdom of God.
Surely, JESUS’ response was very humiliating for the Sadducees, a political and religious group that also had philosophical leanings and was made of people who valued education and knowledge. But to be scholarly, to read lots of philosophy, and to know many things does not make one a knowledgeable person regarding the KINGDOM OF GOD. That person may live on in the greatest Godly ignorance, although they might consider themselves a connoisseur. JESUS concludes that lack of knowledge regarding the KINGDOM leads to spiritual wondering.
Christians who promote the idea of “kingdom now” are just as confused as the Sadducees of old, as they attribute the principles and rules of the spiritual Heavenly KINGDOM to our world or our time. When JESUS says, in the Lord’s Prayer “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”, He is referring to obeying GOD, taking into account that we are people who live in this physical body.
In Heaven is where God’s Will is done perfectly in all senses. On Earth, God’s Perfect Will is done by and through the citizens of the KINGDOM OF GOD, and only in the context of limitations imposed in this world, in which physical death is present. A “new Earth” is needed, “where righteousness will dwell”, a place where God’s Will shall be done to perfection.
The knowledge that leads people to the KINGDOM OF GOD can be placed into two categories: knowing the Bible and knowing the Power of GOD. Both levels of Godly knowledge involve faith. Knowledge without faith is not Godly knowledge, but rather Godly ignorance.
Knowing the Bible, accompanied by faith, means personal study under the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, who is its Author. Knowing the Power of GOD presumes a personal relationship with Him and is a knowledge that comes from experience.
Religious philosophies and opinions do not offer the experience of daily walking alongside GOD. Unfortunately, many educated people miss the KINGDOM OF GOD due to their Godly ignorance.
