Anything GoesSample

(VIDEO TRANSCRIPT BELOW)
Have you ever gotten something new that you were excited about, only to accidentally ruin it almost immediately? Maybe it was a new phone that you dropped and cracked the screen, or a white pair of shoes that quickly got a stain. It’s a reminder that enjoying something comes with the responsibility of taking care of it. Here, the writer of Proverbs uses a fig tree to demonstrate the same idea. A gardener enjoys the fruit of the tree more because they cared for it. In other words, there’s a connection between freedom and responsibility! We experience some of the best parts of life when we choose to be responsible with the freedom we’re given. Because freedom is about being trusted with more because we’ve shown we can handle it.
Today, think about one area where you want more freedom. What responsibility could you start practicing to show you’re ready for it?
