EquipHer Vol. 16: "Living the Vision"

DAY 4 OF 5

Day 4 – Being Planted in the Right Soil

To bring our vision to life and bear fruit, we must be in the right place. Where we are rooted determines the quality of our growth. The Bible teaches us that a tree planted by streams of water flourishes, while one planted in dry, barren soil is destined to wither (Psalm 1:3).

You may have a clear vision and ambitious goals, but if you build on unstable ground, sooner or later, everything will collapse. This applies to every area of life—spiritual growth, career, and relationships. Where are you building? If we try to pursue our dreams in a place where God has not called us to grow, we will find ourselves frustrated, exhausted, and unfulfilled.

Our growth doesn’t depend only on our efforts but also on the environment we are immersed in, and if we are in an environment that does not feed our faith and does not push us toward fulfilling God’s purpose, we risk becoming stagnant.

Jesus Himself warns us about the importance of the foundation upon which we build our lives: "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock." (Matthew 7:24-25)

If we want to bear fruit in our calling, we must ensure that we are rooted where God has called us to grow. If the soil is not right, the seed of vision will never fully develop. God has called us to thrive in a place where we can grow and produce fruit—in a fertile environment where we can fully develop the vision He has entrusted to us.

Practical Tip: take a moment in prayer and ask God if you are in the right place. If you sense that something isn’t right, be open to the possibility that God may be calling you to make a change.

Prayer: Lord, I want to be planted in the environment You have prepared for me. If I am in barren soil, show me. If I am resisting change, give me the strength to follow You. Help me to flourish where You have called me so that my life may bear fruit for Your Kingdom. Amen.

About this Plan

EquipHer Vol. 16: "Living the Vision"

God did not create us to live without direction but to walk with a clear vision and a precise purpose. In this devotional, we will explore how to discern God's will, translate it into concrete steps, and align ourselves with His vision—remembering that every act of obedience bears fruit, not just for our personal benefit, but also for the advancement of His Kingdom.
