Wake up! Remember, hold fast, be earnest, and repent!

As human beings, we are weak and need constant reminders about the importance of vigilance in the Spirit. There are so many factors that can make us weary, lull us to sleep, or make us lukewarm. We begin considering ourselves rich and not needing a thing, when, in reality, we become wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. We forget that Jesus is coming soon, and we forget that He is coming like a thief, catching many by surprise.

None of us are exempt from failure, but there is no need to remain in that place. "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline," Jesus promises. He is knocking at the door, ready to enter and dine with anyone who hears and opens the door."

Take a moment to ponder on what you've read and respond to God in prayer.

PRAYER

• Pray for yourself to be salt and light and a city on a hill.
• Pray the same thing for your disciples and your church.
• Pray for spiritual awakening in churches all over the globe.
