Prayer Initiative : RevelationSample

Jesus starts His message to the seven churches with words we all long to hear: “I know you.” I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know your afflictions and your poverty, the slander from the enemies and the persecution. I know your love and faith, your service. I know you.

But Jesus also knows when we forsake our first love. He knows our fears. He knows when we become prone to tolerate that which cannot be tolerated. He warns His church about things that are not pleasing to Him so that we can be victorious.

Great things are promised to those who will overcome: the right to eat from the tree of life, not being hurt by the second death, hidden manna, a white stone with a new name, authority over the nations, the morning Star.

“Whoever has ears let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Take a moment to ponder on what you've read and respond to God in prayer.

PRAYER

• Pray for the health and multiplication of churches.
• Pray that everywhere in the world - every city, village, high rise, digital space - there will be one healthy church for every one thousand people.
• Pray that all the practices listed in Acts 2 will be present and rooted in churches.
• Pray that the churches' testimonies will bring favor to people and that the Lord will continue to add daily to those who are being saved.
