Someone Else's WorldSample

"...hallowed be your name." Matthew 6:9 ESV
hallowed /ˈhalōd/
adjective
- made holy; consecrated.
Through a relationship with our holy Christ, God has made us holy. Of course, this is not because of anything we have done but because of EVERYTHING Christ has done for us. Christ has declared us holy and righteous because of His name.
Our job now, as disciples of Christ, is to walk in the status God has given us. Our lives should be set apart in thoughts, words, and actions because God's holiness marks us.
In this part of the prayer, Jesus emphasizes the holiness of God's name. He is expressing the idea of keeping God's name holy in our lives. May we "wear" the holy name of God imputed on us well.
THINK ABOUT IT:
1. In what ways are we set apart in Christ?
2. What actions in our lives can set us apart not in identity but in response to our identity in Christ?
PRAYER PROMPT:
Father, may Your Name be kept consecrated and set apart in my life.
About this Plan

What if we traded our little worlds for the Eternal Kingdom, now and to come? Walk with us, line by line, through the Lord's Prayer as we begin to release our grip on how we think we should live and embrace how Jesus wants us to live.
