Things We Sometimes Forget

DAY 6 OF 7

Lost in Thought?

Recently, I noticed a small store displaying beautiful dresses on a rack outside the entrance. Almost automatically, my legs started moving towards it, haha. Maybe you've experienced that too 😉.

And then I noticed the saleswoman standing outside the door, looking really unhappy, and not even returning my smile. I didn't feel welcomed at all, and even though the dresses were so inviting and looked really great, I took a step back and walked on.

May I share with you the thought that crossed my mind in the next moment? Could it be that we—and I almost hesitate to say it, but I will because I'm learning too—could it be that we Christians often come across like that?

Not because we mean harm, but because we're just so lost in thought, or our own worries, that we don't even realize that someone around us might be interested in what we actually have to offer, namely the Truth. Yes, the Truth that sets people free!

We can be so grateful to have realized that we are children of God, but as it says in the Bible: “God wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4, NIV).

And do you know how you can pass on this Truth to others? The Bible also reveals that: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34, NIV).

I know it's not always easy to love others. Especially when they cut you off in traffic, haha. But don't forget that God desires this from us and that we are His showcase here on Earth.

You'll be amazed to see how many people eagerly respond when you speak of your God with a smile and love!

Give your fellow humans a smile today and let God speak through you!

You are a miracle!
